Our first geocaching event
Sunday, October 5th, 2008Myself and Preseli Junior attended our first South Wales Geocaching Event today. Let’s Meet by the Seaside!!!! Was organised by another South Wales cacher Mollyjak.
It was a great experience and a chance to put faces to all those names I had read in the log books on various trig points and secret hidyholes accross South Wales.
A well organised and friendly event held at the Hi-Tide in Porthcawl. A lovley venue with fantastic food.
Mollyjak had placed 5 new caches in a circular route around Porthcawl in the pouring rain the day before and Graculus (our local Groundspeak moderator) had kindly kept an eye open for them and published them in time for the event!
Big thanks to everybody concerned in organising a fab event and thank you for my Geocoin gift!
